It was Wings and all sorts of Bug Things!

Recently our young patrons got to learn all about drawing winged creatures with artist Michael Phipps

Anyone wanting to try their hand at drawing can email Michael the finished art. Art will be posted online.


Next it was time to test some very brave volunteers in a bug tasting!

Ever wonder what it would be like to eat fried treeworm, dried earthworms, termites, or how about some delicious waxworms? Delicious!

Julie Heckert, the library's own bug expert, brought some special guests for all to see; sorry, the live creatures were pets, no eating allowed - and, just a note - the dead ones here, a lot were former pets too!
